Derrin Kent ( Links: BLOG / BUSINESS )

Manager / Trainer / Linguist / Geek

Derrin has a happy, confident training room presence and loves encouraging others to his share his passion and enthusiasm for the learning material he delivers. He consolidates each of his face-to-face sessions with a period of task-driven online study in which participants are required to apply their learning to their practical workplace settings.

A comprehensive package of ready-to-deliver training programmes

Individual sessions, short programmes or longer-term courses available

Derrin has developed a wide range of highly professional corporate courses which are on-call and ready for delivery even at very short notice. All courses detailed on this website are designed to be delivered as intensive one-day (4 x 1.5hrs) programmes. Given sufficient adaptation time, however, any of these programmes can be delivered in a shorter time-allocation programme OR any combination of the programmes, from any combination of the course categories detailed here, can be combined to form a cohesive longer-term programme of training.

Click the links below to explore what individual sessions are currently avaiable under Derrin's five categories of training courses:

Derrin has been teaching learners in group and one-to-one settings since 1989. He has been training in corporate contexts since 1992. He is a qualified Moodle trainer and administrator.

Derrin's training does not end when the door is closed:

Derrin is a "Moodler" and will, as a matter of course, consolidate each and every face-to-face training programme offered with an online consolidation phase of e-learning

In the Moodle-based e-learning programme, participants will be tasked to report back to each other and discuss any issues arising concerning the practical workplace application of the learning and techniques gained during the face-to-face session with Derrin.

Derrin generally prefers to "round off the learning sandwich with a final day of in-company face-to-face training in which programme participants formally report back on how the training event has impacted upon their everyday working practices. Derrin, understands, though, that training provider budget constraints may restrict uptake of this option.
